From August 25 to September 1, NCAP was in pitch-high festive mood. The celebrations started with an opening ceremony that was attended by both pupils/students and their parents/guardians. The theme for this year's celebrations was "Harnessing competent and God-fearing individuals through quality education." Music was provided by both students and teachers followed by the presentation of pupils/students who competed in different events during the week in fields of academic, cultural and athletics.
The grounds of NCAP was also the scene of a festival fair. Different booths that allowed pupils and students to play games that gave them the chance to win prizes, buy novelty items, have their pictures taken, get some face painting and enjoy foods of different varieties were scattered all over the place. These booths were either managed by pupils/students and the Parents-Teachers-Group. Pre-elementary pupils, on the other hand, had a "design-your-own-donut" event on Day 1 of the celebrations.
The week-long celebrations drew to a close with the same fun-fare that the opening program had. Winners of the elementary dance competitions also gave a number during the closing ceremony. The highlight of the final event was the awarding of the winners for the different competitions during the foundation celebrations.
There are a lot of individuals that we'd like to thank for the successful staging of our founding celebrations: Teachers Rodalyn Aquino and Maria Nina Mariano deserve special mention for their work in leading the organizing committee for the event; the parents for their undying support; the faculty and staff for their unmatched cooperation to help in assuring that the celebrations will be a success; the pupils and students for giving their all in their participation in the different events. But most of all, we give God all the praise and all the glory for allowing NCAP to be what it is throughout the years... a successful educational institution, and for the assurance that as long as we continue to banner His name, He will continue to be the God that blesses everything that we do here at Notre Christi Academy of the Philippines.
